Fairfax Virginia (VA) is also called as Fairfax courthouse, downtown Fairfax and Fairfax City. It is an independent city in the commonwealth of Virginia of the United States. Fairfax VA has undergone a revamp in the year 2005. The redevelopment of the city had expanded the migration of the families and settle down here. Forbes Magazine has selected Fairfax VA as No 3 in Top 25 places to live well. According to the Forbes magazine, the public school system, high median salary and the rate of sole proprietors per capita are the factors that are important increasingly during a recession. There is more business activities happening at Fairfax VA that would help them recover from economic downtimes.

The Events that are conducted across the state

Chocolate lovers festival, Fairfax Civil War Day, Fairfax spotlight in the Arts, Irish Festival, Fall for the Book festival, Independence day celebration parade and evening show are few of the important annual events that happens every year with open to all invite. The Fairfax VA helps people to unite together during these festivals and have no restrictions on the immigrants and the residents. The chocolate lover’s festival happens at the heart of old town Fairfax during the first weekend in February. This event includes art events, exhibitions, children activities etc. Every year in the state of Blenheim, a civil war enactment happens in order to create awareness among the people about the cultural information, military musters, and dire drill of the civil war era people. Fairfax spotlight on Arts festival is sponsored by George Mason University along with Northern Community College and City of Fairfax schools. This festival throws light on music, dance, theatre and art and runs for three weeks. The event takes place throughout the day in the schools and colleges.

The largest firework celebration in the Washington metropolitan region is held in City of Fairfax. This event includes the parade through the old streets of Fairfax, across the historical museums. The fall for the Book festival features reading, discussions, exhibitions and reading by national recognized writers and professionals during the autumn. This event happens at the George Mason University and throughout the metropolitan Washington region. There are two community programs that collaborate with this event “All Fairfax Reads” that is coordinated by The Fairfax Country Public Library and another by “Mason Reads” organized by the George Mason University. There are other similar events like the fall festival, The holiday craft show, Festival of lights and Carols, National trails day that keeps people entertained and keep them informative.
